Trip to Louisville

This past weekend we went to see the sites at Louisville. It was a quick but very fun get away! First stop was the Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory. It was neat to see how they make baseball bats but the main reason Burke wanted to go here was to get him a personalized baseball bat made with his own signature engraved on it. We are awaiting the arrival of this bat!

We then went to Churchill Downs where the Kentucky Derby is held and walked around. I would love to go back someday and watch a horse race.

The next few pictures were taken at the campus of the University of Louisville as well as some pictures of the "Hot Brown" which is a very popular sandwich in Louisville that Burke had to try. If you love cheese and bacon, this is the sandwich for you! We all know how much Burke loves him some cheese! I did have to try a few bites and I have to admit it was pretty tasty.

Last stop in Louisville was the highlight of the trip for me. Burke got us tickets to go to the Cirque du Soleil "Saltimbanco" show. They wouldn't let us take our camera in so I didn't get any pictures but it was so amazing and I loved it! If you haven't seen this show I would highly recommend it! Thanks babe for a great weekend!
